I don't think she ever does. In fact I'm pretty sure that after this scene it never comes up again.
SCSF: Given that her ribs were almost healed, I get that it might not come up again... but it still feels like Douglass only put it in to have "maybe Hagen's ghost is tormenting me!".
With what, harsh language? They're pacifists and Azhure should already know that!
She could well mean that they will get her so deep in the Avarinheim that the others will not follow? It does sound like she thinks there is a whole host of Avar waiting just inside the trees, and I have little idea why.
Under normal circumstances this would have crippled him for life if not cost him the entire foot, but of course it ultimately heals up just fine after having a few generic herbs sprinkled on it. He doesn't have so much as a limp afterwards.
Looking ahead, Barsarbe does set his ankle and gets him a splint, but it should indeed affect him until he explodes.
Yeah, this is right the fuck out of nowhere and also he's acting like a VILLAIN. And not for the last time.
Yes, he really does sound like one, not to mention that trapping Raum like this is also a typical villain move. Sure, he should not exactly seem like a good guy to Azhure and GoldFeather, but this takes it all too far.
It would be nice of the Avar did have additional powers... Maybe healing could be one of them? That would resolve the above plot hole, at least.
Axis never makes amends with Raum for doing this either.
Of course not...
Author forbid she take a proper look at him and figure out the most obvious plot twist ever.
It was quite silly in how obvious it was.
I'm pretty sure no-one ever says this again.
Actually, Faraday said it when she accepted Timozel as he Champion, so I will rectify that. After this, though, this phrasing is never used again.
It's just not done enough. Once he finds out The Terrible Truth he gets over it VERY FAST.
After all, Axis should not be wrong.
Just what was he planning to do for the second one?
I was quite sure it was Timozel, who I presume the Sentinels told him about.
