I kind of like the name 'Netherem', but what the hell is a 'Pumster'? The offspring of a pumpkin and a dumpster?
I presume that she tried to go with pseudo-English names, but alas, "Pumster" is not "Wainwald", and it just sounds distractingly like "punster" to me.
Oooh! I love me some kickass heroines, so I'm looking forward to that! I just dread the amount of slop we have to wade through before then...
I do not know if she would class as "kickass", but she refuses to be pushed around by everyone, at least! As for the intervening books... that will soon stop being slop and start being wild.
But I'm betting if you wrote a book that was going to be published and widely distributed, you would go over it to check for continuity and common sense, to make it as coherent as you could before release.
Indeed... Even for the redux, I am planning to read this one back in its entirety, in addition to reading through the series multiple times, just to get the best I can do.
...I'm looking forward to that probably more than I should be. But if we're forced to have him in the book, making him suffer is the next best thing to his complete nonexistence.
I quite agree, and I think you may well be feeling the same about StarDrifter.
