It's still a horrible way to die, make no mistake about that, but saying that's the worst thing Axis has ever seen makes me think that Douglass was too chicken to come up with anything more severe.

Given the sort of things that tend to happen during raids, I'm inclined to think Douglass should have put in a qualifier like 'done by civilized people'.

Which still falls apart when you remember he's part of a system that sentences people to burn alive, but at least it doesn't suggest all those raiders were coming for tea and biscuits.
